Etymologies of Balbadd names
Here is a list of my speculations of the origins of Balbadd related names! There's no really confirmation for these, some are pretty obvious but others are more like guesses.

» Alibaba Saluja — ʿAlī Bābā (علي بابا) is the protagonist of the Arabic tale Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves (علي بابا والأربعون لصا). It was not originally a part of One Thousand and One Nights, but was added in later. "Saluja" is an Indian surname from West Punjab.
» Anis — Anis is a character from 1001 Nights.
» Cassim — Named after Cassim (قاسم‎) from 1001 Nights, Ali Baba's greedy brother who is killed by the Forty Thieves when he tries to steal their treasure.
» Hassan — Arabic name meaning "handsome".
» Mariam — Aramaic form of the Biblical name "Miriam" with unclear origins. One theory suggests it is connected to the Egyptian word mr, meaning "love".
» Rashid Saluja — Harun al-Rashid (died 809 CE) was the fifth Abbasid Caliph whose reign marked the beginning of the Islamic Golden Age. He also appears as a character in the 1001 Nights. Rashid means "orthodox" or "just". Magi's Rashid uses "Harun" as an alias in Sinbad no Bouken; Harun being the Arabic form of the name Aaron. "Saluja" is an Indian surname from West Punjab.
» Sa'id — Arabic name, which means "happy".
» Tariq — Arabic name, meaning "striker" or "morning star".
» Zaynab — Zaynab is a character in 1001 Nights. The name means "fragrant flower".
