The southern country on the eastern continent, an important trading center comprised mostly of islands. Here are little facts and thoughts about Balbadd.

» The royal palace of Balbadd (pictured below) was inspired by Cambodian temples, such as Angkor Wat and Bayon. This is officially stated in TV anime Magi First Fanbook (page 52). Then, here is some unconfirmed speculation on my part as well as a few others: The Balbadd crowns resemble a bit the makuṭa crowns used in South East Asia, including Cambodia.
